Mine yellow nodes in Cambion Drift. I normally mine in caves so don't know if it matters. They are very rare so maybe you are just in bad luck streak. When I farmed Thaumica I picked couple caves that I ransacked then went to Necralisk to reset nodes and went back mining. Some runs I got none, some runs I got loads (like 30-40). Solo iso vault.
